I hereby agree to the following terms:
- I will give the dog proper food, water, and shelter at all times and veterinary treatment when
neccessary, including proper shots (DHLP-P shots annually and Rabies shots every 3 years). My
treatment of the dog will be humane and loving for the rest of its life. I agree to be legally and
financially responsible for the dog henceforth.
- If the dog was not already neutered when I adopted it, I will have it neutered within ___ days
from the date of signing this agreement. I will not breed the dog prior to neutering. I will mail a
copy of the neutering certificate to Doberman Pinscher Rescue at the above address within 2 weeks of
neutering.
- I understand that Doberman Pinscher Rescue places dogs only as family pets and that legal action
may be taken against me if I adopt a dog for any other purpose (e.g. used as a guard dog).
- If I cannot retain possession of the dog, I will contact Ardis Munck immediately. (After 30 days,
refund of donation is optional.) If the dog becomes lost, I will notify Doberman Pinscher Rescue and
follow instructions for recovering the dog.
- I will not sell or give the animal to any person, company, organization, medical research facility,
pound, or animal shelter.
- I will keep an I.D. tag with my phone number and/or address on the dog at all times. I will keep
the dog on a leash when I take it out of a confined area, and I will keep the dog tethered on both
sides if transporting it in the back of any open vehicle. I will not leave the dog unattended while
it is wearing a choke-chain.
- I understand that Ardis Munck may make follow-up visits at mutually convenient times to ascertain
that the conditions above are being met. If I fail to comply with this agreement, Doberman Pinscher
Rescue reserves the right to repossess the dog, and any litigation costs will be paid by me, as well as
any costs necessary to rehabilitate the dog.
- Though every effort has been made to ensure that this dog is a healthy, loving, pet, Doberman
Pinscher Rescue cannot be liable for any injuries that the dog could inflict on any person after
leaving Doberman Pinscher Rescue facilities.
