Welcome to the Dobie Rescue! |
|
Doberman Pinscher & Little Paws Rescue is a non- profit 501(c)3 charity. We are located in rural Fillmore, California on a small ranch dedicated to animal rescue and to finding new homes for all of our charges. At any time, approximately 50 Doberman Pinschers are waiting for homes as well as about 50 little mixed-breed dogs and about 50 medium-sized dogs. We call the non-Dobermans our "Little Paws", and you can view them by clicking the "Available Dogs | Little Paws" menu above. We're a no-kill sanctuary. That means that we do NOT euthanize any dogs that don't get adopted. We do not usually have puppies, as we are not breeders. Saving a dog from our sanctuary is similar to rescuing one from an animal shelter, with three main advantages: - The dog's temperament is generally better known
- The dog is believed to be free of serious disease such as distemper and parvovirus
- The dog has a safe place to return to in the event the adoption does not work out as anticipated.
We ALWAYS take our dogs back for ANY reason whatsoever. Ardis Braun This site is dedicated to our Doberman Pinschers. If you would like to adopt one of our small, mixed breed dogs or other non-Dobermans, you can see and read about them by clicking the "Available Dogs | Little Paws" menu above.Open house is Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Please plan on spending a minimum of an hour choosing your new friend and completing the adoption process. Please be patient! Sometimes everyone shows up at the same time. Since we close at 3:00 p.m., please try to be here no later than 2:00 p.m. Appointments can be made during the week to see individual dogs. Operated by Ardis Braun since 1987, almost 9,000 dogs have been saved and placed in new homes solely through her outstanding dedication. Support is provided by a small army of dedicated volunteers and staff members. |
